Rifugio Manfrè

Rifugio Manfrè is a small, privately managed mountain lodge in Etna National Park situated in Eastern Sicily close to the city of Catania. The lodge is nestled in a beautiful forest of chestnut, hazelnut and oaktrees at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level allowing for a convenient starting point for your trekking or mountain biking adventures. Marked hiking route number 786 passes the lodge between the town of Belpasso and the ‘Altomontana’ round of Etna hiking/Mountain biking tour. Our location also allows for quick access to Rifugio Sapienza, the starting point of Etna summit craters cableway and 4x4 vehicles.

The lodge offers accommodation for up to 10 people, either private or shared basis. Please always ask us for availability and accommodation options during your planned holiday.

Our terrace features 8 pic-nic tables and a serviced BBQ (including charcoal, plates, cutlery, glasses etc) where you can bring and prepare your own food!

In the summer season we are open for pic-nics every weekend whereas accommodation and related services are always available by booking.
